Pathways into Caravan Careers Program 2026 kicks off
Caravan Industry Victoria and the National Caravan Industry Training College are proud to once again partner with NORTH Link to deliver a training program designed to bring young people and multicultural communities into the caravan industry across Melbourne’s North. At the same time, the program offers CIV members a new way to connect with potential employees.
It follows the success of our previous caravan skills and employment program with NORTH Link, which placed approximately 150 candidates into work in the industry.
The Pathways into Caravan Careers Program will provide training for 50 individuals who are either young or from recent migrant backgrounds. The program aims to connect these participants with manufacturers and service and repair companies looking for staff. Participants are paid during their pre-vocational training and work placement, helping ease some of the pressure facing new entrants to the industry. Our goal is to place at least half of the trainees into immediate employment.
The first group of job seekers in the 2026 program is progressing through their pre-employment and pre-vocational training, including key units from the Certificate III in Recreational Vehicle Manufacture. Participants will then undertake a work placement with an employer looking for new talent, with the opportunity for ongoing employment at the end of the placement.
