Since 1952, Caravan Industry Victoria (CIV) has championed the caravanning and camping lifestyle Australians love. What began as a small group of manufacturers and enthusiasts has grown into a powerful network of more than 240 members across the state—spanning manufacturers, retailers, suppliers, service providers, and tourism partners. Victoria is the heart of Australia’s caravan industry, producing over 93% of the nation’s caravans and RVs and supporting more than 190,000 registered recreational vehicles.
The sector contributes over $3.5 billion to the Victorian economy each year, creating 12,500 jobs locally and more than 50,000 nationally. CIV is proud to advocate for this vital industry, ensuring it remains strong, sustainable, and innovative for members and consumers alike.
Each year, CIV brings the industry to life through six major events across Victoria. Together, these events attract more than 100,000 visitors and showcase the latest caravans, RVs, camper trailers, accessories, and outdoor gear. From new product launches and show specials to expert advice and family-friendly experiences, each event celebrates adventure, connection, and the joy of exploring Australia.
