New App Highlighting Victoria as an All-Seasons State for Caravanning and Camping adventures
Caravan Industry Victoria's Experience Victoria consumer web app highlights the strong connection between the caravan and camping industry, regional tourism and mobile travellers.
Developed by Fiona Sweetman, Lifestyle & Tourism Manager, the web app is designed to help people travelling by caravan or camping discover great experiences and create lasting memories across Victoria. Consumers are discovering the app at the 4 interstate supershows, all Caravan Industry Victoria consumer shows, and through other lifestyle promotional activities, helping them see the value Caravan Industry Victoria and its members bring to the industry and the travelling public.
Every trip taken in Victoria benefits our industry. When regional tourism grows, so does demand for caravan and camping products, services and experiences.
The web app showcases Victorian destinations, tourism operators, local attractions, markets, safety information and local laws, making it easier for travellers to explore our own backyard. In doing so, it encourages more visits to regional communities while supporting caravan manufacturers, dealers, parks and businesses across the industry.
At the recent CIV Trade Expo, Fiona shared insights from her consumer research. By collecting feedback at consumer shows and inviting travellers to share their favourite places in Victoria, she is building valuable data for our members, and also helping inform consumer lifestyle engagement for CIV into the future.
The app features interactive map that includes CIV Member servicing and repair businesses, Visitor Information Centres, local attractions, markets and the locations of all our consumer shows. Together, these resources give travellers the confidence to take another trip, stay a little longer and enjoy the caravan and camping lifestyle, particularly in the heartland of our Australian industry – Victoria.
