Manager of the Year Award

The Caravan Industry Victoria Manager of the Year Award recognises leadership and management excellence within the caravan industry in Victoria. The Award celebrates a manager who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, strong leadership capability, and exceptional performance in a management role.

CRITERIA AND ELIGIBILITY

This Award is open to managers working across all sectors of Caravan Industry Victoria’s membership.
Nominations may only be submitted by the nominee’s direct manager or the business owner.

Nominees must demonstrate excellence across the following areas:

Leadership
    • Demonstrates strong, consistent leadership in day‑to‑day management
    • Takes responsibility for decisions and leads by example
    • Builds trust within their team through integrity, accountability, and collaboration
    • Encourages teamwork through listening, mentoring, influencing, and effective communication

Innovation and Continuous Improvement
    • Introduces new or improved ways of managing people and operations
    • Fosters a workplace culture that encourages innovation and positive change
    • Drives and implements practical improvements that benefit the business and its people

Best Practice Operations
    • Demonstrates effective management of financial, human, physical, and technological resources
    • Contributes to the overall success and performance of the business
    • Supports the delivery of strong customer outcomes and value
    • Encourages learning and development through formal and informal workplace practices

Interpersonal Skills
    • Builds and maintains strong relationships with staff, suppliers, and contractors
    • Communicates clearly and effectively to support positive working relationships
    • Manages time and priorities efficiently to achieve results
    • Handles workplace conflict constructively and professionally

Professional Development
    • Demonstrates a commitment to ongoing leadership development
    • Actively pursues professional growth and learning to improve management capability

WHAT THE WINNER RECEIVES

The winner of the Caravan Industry Victoria Manager of the Year Award will receive a trophy and certificate in recognition of their achievement.
Their name will also be placed on the honour board at the Caravan Industry Victoria head office.
