Charlie Tebb - Service to the Industry Award
The Charlie Tebb Service to Industry Award celebrates the exceptional efforts of leaders within our Association, members who have gone above and beyond in their contribution to the caravan and camping industry we all care so deeply about.
This Award is named in honour of the late Charlie Tebb, who passed away in 2002. Charlie lived by the motto: “Everything is possible, and every new day presents another challenge to overcome.” Those who were fortunate enough to know him will tell you that Charlie didn’t just speak these words, he lived them. And for those who didn’t know him, it’s often said that you simply weren’t truly in the caravan and camping business if you didn't know Charlie.
As the founder of Tebbs Canvas, Charlie became — and remains — a cherished icon of the Victorian industry. He stood beside his industry peers through the highest highs and the toughest lows demonstrating that his instinct to put others before himself was one of his greatest strengths. He understood that real success is built by lifting others up, even when the journey is challenging. His generosity, his grit, and his unwavering belief in people left a legacy that continues to inspire us today.
The Association is deeply honoured to present this prestigious award in Charlie’s name as a tribute to his lifetime of service, his remarkable character, and the lasting impact he made on our industry and its members.
